Patti Saulnier Accountapotamus Bookkeeping

Patti Saulnier is the President of Accountapotamus. Prior to founding the company, Patti spent 10 years as Controller for two Ottawa-based IT Consulting companies and has 30 years of practical accounting experience in multiple industries, including but not limited to professional services, training, management consulting, trades, engineering, medical, construction, aerospace and security.

Patti is very passionate about empowering fellow business owners, and loves to write and travel when time allows. Accountapotamus Bookkeeper

Heather McCormick is a Senior Bookkeeper with Accountapotamus and has 12 years of accounting experience. She is currently attending part time studies in forensic accounting and is pursuing her CGA. She enjoys working in the accounting field, loves a challenge, and is our Go-to-Girl for pretty much anything. You can always count on Heather to dive in and tackle any project, no matter how big or small, with tenacity and a smile. She has mastered the art of paying attention to detail in an environment where accuracy and trust mean everything.

Heather is a chocoholic who enjoys hiking and artistic pursuits including drawing and crafting. From calendar design to Easter Egg hunts to rappelling down office buildings with a gigantic stuffed hippo strapped to her back to making sure Patti eats every day (Thanks Mom!), she’s one of the most thoughtful, dependable, and loyal people we know. Ask her about Shoes That Start Conversations!

Robyn-Chalmer

Robyn Chalmer is a Senior Bookkeeper with Accountapotamus. She has a level one CGA college accreditation, along with 8 years experience managing the accounting for corporate enterprise and self-employed sole proprietors. Robyn has worked with a large variety of businesses through an accounting firm, and has developed a specialty in the area of farming. She loves playing both detective and doctor when presented with a messed-up set of books, and invests herself with her clients.

Robyn is a very thoughtful person who brings her sparkling wit and upbeat attitude to work with her every day. She always has a story for everything and a snarky e-card to match! She can be found getting giggly with a glass of red, and her passions are getting lost in an adult colouring book and cooking (apparently she makes a mean curry but has never invited us for dinner!).

Rita DiGaetano

Rita DiGaetano is the Accounting Manager and the face and brains of Accountapotamus’ Newmarket office. Her 20 years of accounting experience and strong business sense make her a great asset for our clients in the GTA. With her Diploma in Small Business Administration, she has worked in a wide variety of industries over the years, taking pride in helping her clients achieve greater success in their businesses.

There is nothing in the world Rita adores more than being a proud, single mom to her two grown-up kids. She also loves salsa dancing with her boyfriend, breakfast in bed on the weekends (lucky girl), and escaping to the outdoors for some trailer camping in KillBear Provincial Park.

lisa-fines

Lisa Fines is a Senior Bookkeeper with Accountapotamus and comes to us with 25 years experience. From her first accounting class in high school, she knew this was her niche, and hasn’t looked back. She has two diplomas in Accounting and has worked in various industries including public accounting, restaurants, graphic design and retail. She is exceptional with finding and solving accounting problems, and enjoys the challenge of turning messy books into a compliant work of art.

Lisa is the proud mother of two teenagers and a pre-teen. In her spare time, she can be found at the gym, walking in the park, playing World of Warcraft and snuggling with both her dog and kitten.

david-roth

David Roth is a Senior Bookkeeper with Accountapotamus and comes to us with 10 years accounting experience working primarily in online retail. He has extensive experience in Simply Accounting and Quickbooks and holds degrees in Accounting and Economics. David enjoys problem solving whether it’s a bank reconciliation or a brain teaser, and is a quick learner.

David has been married for 3 years and recently moved to the area from Montreal. He enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, and loves reading, watching movies and building Lego.

Heather-Morgan

Heather Morgan is a part-time Bookkeeper with Accountapotamus and brings with her over 10 years of experience in various industries including non-profit, medical, bookkeeping, construction, retail and real estate. She has a background in Business Administration and is one of our Payroll Experts. Always helpful, organized and reliable, Heather enjoys problem-solving and the sheer diversity of our client businesses. Her cheerful, optimistic demeanour is a breath of fresh air wherever she goes.

Besides being an awesome mom, Heather is passionate about family, friends, reading and yoga. She makes her own jewelry, loves trying her hand at DIY projects, and uses her knowledge of naturopathy and herbal remedies to fix whatever ails us.

devin-harrigan

Devin Harrigan is a Bookkeeper with Accountapotamus and the newest member of our team. He holds a 3-year Accounting Diploma in Business Administration and is currently pursuing his bookkeeping certification through the IPBC. His attention to detail and dedication to incredible customer service are very important to him and are evident in the way he interacts with both clients and colleagues.

Devin is an avid sports fan and likes to play golf and hockey in his spare time. He also enjoys racing cars and spending time with his Black Lab, Shadow.

Accountapotamus Bookkeeper

Colleen Currie is a Senior Bookkeeper with Accountapotamus and has over 25 years of accounting experience, mainly in the construction and trades industries. She is a reconciliation specialist and most enjoys the analytical part of the bookkeeping process.

Colleen uses her common sense approach to communicate financial matters to non-financial people in a way that makes sense and leads to better decision-making. She takes the time to learn our clients’ businesses inside and out to find how to best meet their needs. She is an avid cyclist, runner and amateur home renovator.

Kathryn-Carriere

Kathryn Carriere is our Training Coordinator and Office Manager. Tasked with keeping our office running smoothly, she is keen to learn all things bookkeeping while supporting the team.  Whether it be taking charge of training initiatives, banking, shopping, collections, whatever, she is sure to bring a smile and laugh to each job.  She has spent the last 20 years working with people of all ages in the roles of Child and Youth Worker, Administrative Assistant, Teacher, Small Business Owner and community volunteer.

Kathryn is the proud mother of a competitive hockey player and a flat water sprint canoeist; whether in the arena or on a riverbank, you’ll probably hear her cheering long before you see her. Her other passions include municipal politics, music and pyjama-wearing-movie-watching Saturdays!

Myriah-Saulnier

Myriah Saulnier is our Administrative Diva, Director of Fun and Patti’s Best Kept Secret. She has been with Accountapotamus since its inception and has wicked fast and accurate data entry skills. A Master Organizer, she doesn’t even wince when we present her with years of receipts in big green garbage bags, making short work of getting them ready to bring a client’s files up to date. Always armed with a smile, she is truly a pleasure to work with.

Myriah has an honours diploma in Journalism through Algonquin College and is a freelance writer for a number of Canadian travel magazines. She enjoys the outdoors, her two dogs, spending time with her friends and family, and exploring the world around her, one fascinating story at a time.
