Patti Saulnier is the President of Accountapotamus. Prior to founding the company, Patti spent 10 years as Controller for two Ottawa-based IT Consulting companies and has over 35 years of practical accounting experience in multiple industries, including but not limited to professional services, training, management consulting, trades, engineering, medical, construction, aerospace, and security. She has used her background and talents to write and develop exceptional Accounting, Payroll, and QuickBooks courses, and is a very knowledgeable and engaging instructor.

Patti is very passionate about empowering fellow business owners and loves to write and travel when time allows. She is an Intuit Pro Advisor and QuickBooks Trainer, and currently serves on the Board of Directors with the West Ottawa Board of Trade, after serving for the last few years on the Boards of Directors for the Carleton Place & District Chamber of Commerce and Greater Nepean Chamber of Commerce (Treasurer).

Heather McCormick is a Senior Bookkeeper with 18 years of accounting experience, over eleven of which have been spent with Accountapotamus. She is currently attending part-time studies in forensic accounting and is pursuing her CGA. She enjoys working in the accounting field, loves a challenge, and is our Go-to-Girl for pretty much anything. You can always count on Heather to dive in and tackle any project, no matter how big or small, with tenacity and a smile. She has mastered the art of paying attention to detail in an environment where accuracy and trust mean everything.

Heather is a chocoholic who enjoys hiking and artistic pursuits including drawing and crafting. From calendar design to Easter Egg hunts to rappelling down office buildings with a gigantic stuffed hippo strapped to her back to making sure Patti eats every day (Thanks, Mom!), she’s one of the most thoughtful, dependable, and loyal people we know. Ask her about Shoes That Start Conversations!

Paula Pappin is a Senior Bookkeeper and the Accounting Manager of  Accountapotamus, with over 20 years of accounting experience. Paula has worked with various small businesses including automotive, consulting, landscaping, construction and customer service industries. The success of reconciling her first bank statement was what solidified her interest in bookkeeping.

Paula is the proud mother of two young women. As avid competitive dancers, she spends most of her free time at her daughters’ dance studio cheering them on and volunteering. She also loves cooking, going for walks and spending time at the cottage.

Myriah Saulnier is our Business Manager and Director of Fun, and has been with Accountapotamus since its inception. She also helps lead our Not for Profit bookkeeping team with her wicked fast and accurate data entry skills and over 10 years of bookkeeping experience. A Master Organizer, she doesn’t even wince when we present her with years of receipts in big green garbage bags, making short work of getting them ready to bring a client’s files up to date. She is always armed with a smile.

Myriah has an honours diploma in Journalism and an honours certificate in Media and Communication, from Algonquin College. She is the award-winning author of mystery thriller, Killer in the Mirror, which was nominated as a shortlist finalist for the Toby Award and which won its Honourable Mention for best indie mystery novel in Canada. She enjoys the outdoors, her dogs, spending time with her friends and family, and exploring the world around her, one fascinating story at a time.

Janice Campbell is a Senior Bookkeeper with Accountapotamus and has over 33 years of accounting experience; the majority of it spent in various accounting positions within the healthcare industry. She has also done bookkeeping for various small businesses including her own restaurant. She has a firm grasp of the entire accounting process which she attributes to once having manually maintained a complete set of books without the aid of a computerized accounting system. Her most memorable accounting achievement was having a CRA audit of her own business called off after only three days with the belief that further investigation by CRA would prove fruitless.

Janice is the mother of three grown children and the grandmother of two. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, sewing, reading and spending time outdoors in the warm weather.

Cindy Thompson is a Senior Bookkeeper at Accountapotamus with over 15 years of accounting experience and a 3-year Business Administration Diploma from Durham College. She specializes in working with sole proprietors, restaurants and construction companies, and has excellent problem solving, time management and organizational skills. She enjoys puzzling out books from start to finish and the sense of accomplishment when it’s all done and correct.

Cindy has two grown sons and a cat named Jackie, and has recently joined us after moving from the Toronto area. She likes to join card groups, and enjoys Bingo and board games. You can also find her reading a good book or spending time outdoors.

Wendy Firth is a Senior Bookkeeper and one of our Not for Profit and charitable bookkeeping specialists. Wendy has worked with Not for Profits for more than 30 years in financial and administrative positions and is a self-proclaimed nerd when it comes to reconciling. She could spend all day doing them and feels very fulfilled when she can print a reconciliation.

Wendy is the proud mother of two young men. She spends most weekends on road trips with her husband, and they love finding small cafés in the middle of nowhere for a great hamburger. She enjoys going to live theatre performances, and when she is at home, she loves to do puzzles and relax with her fur babies.

Amy Pappin is our Administrative Diva and one of our Bookkeepers. She is entering her third year of business at Algonquin College and will be specializing in Marketing. Amy came to us early in 2022 when she was forced to take a break from school due to limited class sizes in the pandemic, and she plans to continue working with us as she completes her education.

Amy spent most of her life dancing competitively and is now teaching and choreographing for a local dance studio, which she has been doing for the last 7 years. She had the honour of representing Team Canada at the ICU international cheerleading championships in 2019-2022. You might also  recognize her as your favourite cheerleader (and Dance Team Captain) for the Ottawa Redblacks!  If you are ever at a game, make sure to say hi!

Sandra Swift is a Senior Bookkeeper at Accountapotamus with more than 10 years of accounting experience. She has an Honours Certificate in Accounting from Nova Scotia Community College. Sandra enjoys maintaining her clients’ records and works with many different kinds of small businesses, including her own car garage.

Sandra is a proud mother of an enthusiastic competitive dancer who is 11 years old and she volunteers and spends most of her free time at her daughter’s dance facility supporting her. Sandra also enjoys cooking, taking walks and cuddling her two pets.

Tina Zuo is a Senior Bookkeeper with Accountapotamus, with over 20 years of working experience in the public accounting field. Tina has worked with various small to medium-sized businesses including property management, dentistry, consulting, restaurants, hotels, construction, travel agencies and charities. She enjoys providing guidance and suggestions to clients regarding their accounting practices.

Tina is a happy couch potato most of the time, except twice a year when she travels around the world. She took a few cross-country trips within North America, but is most proud of her trips to England, France, Germany, China, South Korea, Japan and Malaysia. She wishes to visit more places with her family and friends in the future.

Colleen Currie is a Senior Bookkeeper with Accountapotamus and has over 30 years of accounting experience, mainly in the construction and trades industries. She is a reconciliation specialist and most enjoys the analytical part of the bookkeeping process.

Colleen uses her common sense approach to communicate financial matters to non-financial people in a way that makes sense and leads to better decision-making. She takes the time to learn our clients’ businesses inside and out to find how to best meet their needs. She is an avid cyclist, runner, and amateur home renovator.
