QuickBooks is a wonderful (and easy to use) accounting package that not only helps you track your business transaction but when set up right, can give you all kinds of useful information to run your business well and make more informed decisions.
All of our QuickBooks courses are taught by very knowledgeable and engaging instructors. We have used our expertise to develop a very thorough training program, with a focus on practical “real-life” exercises, best practices, and making sure that our students understand bookkeeping basics to guarantee the integrity of their books.
We have successfully taught thousands of students all across the province, through private and group training sessions, how to take advantage of all the software has to offer. Phone support is available at a reduced rate for our students so they never have to worry about getting stuck.

Who are our training courses designed for?
Our training courses are designed for everyone and are taught while keeping in mind the experience levels of our students. These experience levels often range from Accountants to people with very limited accounting knowledge.
We have found our courses to be most popular with students ranging from:
- Business owners and their partners, who have more time than money and who would like to do their own bookkeeping – knowing bookkeeping processes is also helpful, as is the ability to read and understand one’s financial statements.
- Accountants who recognize the value of having themselves and their staff trained in the accounting software their clients are using (it’s much cheaper to have us teach new staff, especially if they qualify for COJG funding), plus CPD credits are available.
- Retired Seniors who would like to spend some of their newfound free time helping their entrepreneur children with their bookkeeping.
- College and university students who would like deeper instruction in QuickBooks to make sure they’re adequately prepared for the workforce.

One-Day Intensive QuickBooks Training Programs
Available in QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online (QBO)

These courses include personalized hands-on training, a personal laptop provided for the duration of the course, an easy to understand reference manual to take home with you, and a flash drive with practice file (Desktop version only). Lunch and refreshments are included.
Our One-Day Intensive QuickBooks Training Programs are geared toward individuals with some bookkeeping/accounting knowledge and are set up to cover everything you would normally encounter in a regular business month (minus payroll, as there is no time in the One-Day course to cover this properly!). These are fast-moving courses with more summarized accounting instruction.
Two-Day Comprehensive QuickBooks Training Programs
Available in QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online (QBO)

Our Two-Day Comprehensive QuickBooks Training Programs are geared toward those with limited accounting/bookkeeping knowledge or who would like to learn at a slower pace. These courses provide much more detailed instruction, and allow for an expanded Question and Answer session.
QuickBooks New Business Training Program (Two-Day)
Available in Quickbooks Desktop only

Are you a new business looking to jumpstart your books? You may want to consider our New Business Training Program, where we can offer you a complete setup file for your company, based on information provided by you, with professional-looking document templates (customized invoices, statements, etc., with or without your company logo), a complete chart of accounts, full payroll setup (if required), and everything you need to start. Training is given in all areas of QuickBooks (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, budgeting, bank and financial reporting and more) and covers everything you’d normally encounter in a regular business month.
The first day and a half of this program provides personalized, hands-on training in accounting using QuickBooks software, and is tailored to the specific needs of your business. The remainder of the second day is spent together setting up your company file. The best part about our New Business Training Program is that we do all the hard work for you by setting up your company file to the point where all you have to do is turn it on and go. We work with you to identify and exceed your expectations and you will get excellent value for your money. We can leave you prepared to complete your books on your own and are always here to help.
Two-Day Payroll Masterclass
Available in QuickBooks Desktop only

Our 2-Day Comprehensive Payroll Masterclass includes two full days of hands-on and interactive payroll instruction, given by an engaging and knowledgeable instructor. Payroll training will focus on preparing students for everything they would normally encounter while processing payroll in a regular business year, with opportunities for discussion and answers to specific payroll questions.
DAY 1: Comprehensive payroll training, with moving parts that include hiring, payroll processing, government remittances, employee terminations, year-end processing, and all the little bits in-between. Also covered will be the current proposed changes to the Labour Standards Act in Ontario, timelines, and how they are expected to affect your business. Understanding the Employment Standards Act (Ontario) and its provisions.
DAY 2: Practical exercises covering a one-year period, including running a computerized payroll for 10 employees (using QuickBooks), processing source deduction remittances, WSIB and EHT calculations, and ROE and T4 preparation.
Course Includes:
- Two full days of payroll training, using QuickBooks accounting software for practical exercises.
- Individual laptops for use by participants during the course.
- A comprehensive reference manual to take home with you.
- A flash drive with practice file on it to take home with you.
- Lunch and light refreshments.
OPTIONAL ADD-ON: Review of the Canadian Labour Standards Act and its provisions
This is offered as a separate, standalone full day course and ensures that you are, as an Ontario employer, comfortable with and knowledgeable about, the Act and what your rights and responsibilities are as provided under it.
Four-Day QuickBooks Bootcamp
Group $1597.50+hst
Finally, a course that combines everything you ever wanted to know about QuickBooks with bookkeeping essentials and payroll. Anyone can enter data into an accounting package, but it’s being able to answer the question, “but does it make sense?” that gives you a sound set of books.
This four-day workshop covers QuickBooks, payroll and bookkeeping best practices, and leaves you comfortable dealing with the higher-level stuff, including but not limited to Balance Sheet accounts (prepaids, capital assets, and accumulated depreciation, payroll liabilities, HST, shareholder accounts, etc.), account reconciliations, month and year-end closing entries, and how to prepare, read and analyze a set of financials. We’ll also be teaching you the tricks of the trade – useful things you can do to save yourself time, including the Three-Minute Bank Reconciliation. Participants are encouraged to bring questions – all else is provided, including lunch and refreshments.
Please note that this course is a combination of our Two-Day Comprehensive QuickBooks course and our Two-Day Payroll Masterclass, with a 10% discount being applied to help bring your costs down.
Our QuickBooks Bootcamp is designed for:
- Small business owners who want to take a hands-on approach with their finances but don’t have months to learn bookkeeping practices.
- Administrative and accounting employees who wish to improve their bookkeeping/accounting knowledge and increase their value in the workplace.
As always, registration is required for all of our group courses as class sizes are limited – your payment secures your seat. Ask us about how to apply for course funding under the Canada Ontario Job Grant (COJG).
Remote, Interactive Online Training
Can’t make it into our office or to one of our many courses being offered across Ontario? Another popular training option is our private, one-on-one “online” training. Training is tailored to your specific needs, for however many hours you need or want, via TeamViewer, which allows your trainer to view your desktop remotely and guide you over the phone from wherever you are.
Have all your questions answered while watching as your trainer mouses through your screen, showing you how to use the software as well as everything you need to know related to troubleshooting and reconciliations. All you need to do is download TeamViewer and come up with a wish list of items you would like to cover, and our staff can walk you through all of it. This is available for $125+HST/hour.
This type of online training is also available for our One-Day Intensive or Two-Day Comprehensive Quickbooks courses (Desktop or Online), at our private course rates.
"Wishlist" Training
For those who need help in specific areas of Quickbooks and don’t feel that a two-day comprehensive Quickbooks course would be in their best interests. Typically users are familiar with the day-to-day workings of Quickbooks and would like some guidance in areas they may not be as familiar with. Bring in your Wishlist and you’ll be in the driver’s seat – we’ll be happy to shed some light on those areas that are troubling you. This service is available at our consulting rate of $125+HST/hour.
